| Met w/ Warewashing Maintenance personnel & Facility Staff Training for the operation of the existing warewashing machine for facility staff and VDH. Existing machine was originally equipped as a hot-water sanitizer that was converted to a Chlorine based sanitizer unit. Unit has a holding tank for wash solution that has to be "periodically" manually dumped. Detergent solution is set to dispense every 3rd cycle. Unit also does NOT have an audio/visual alarm for detergent/sanitizer dispensing. Unit DOES use dispensing knobs & transparent tubing for visual detergent/rinse/sanitizer dispensing. Also, discussed with facility staff concerning questions about the concentration of quaternary ammonium in the 3 compartment sink. Concentration is affected by water temperature, so dispensing solution has to be at room temperature (68-70F) for accurate concentration reading.
