Noted what appears to be sewer lines in food supply storage room downstairs. Do not store food items, single service items or food equipment under them . May contaminate if leaking. Check and make sure they are not sewer lines if they are they need to be protected.

Observation: Noted Managers with no hair restraints. Need hair restraints if cooking and/or preparing food.
Correction: Ensure all employees wear hair restraints such as hats, hair coverings or nets, beard restraints, and clothing that covers body hair, that are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles. This section does not apply to food employees such as counter staff who only serve beverages and wrapped or packaged foods, hostesses, and wait staff if they present a minimal risk of contaminating exposed food

Observation: An employee was observed working in the food service area without proper hair restraint.

- Gloves - Use Limitation
Observation: Observed employee putting on a pair of blue single-use gloves over clear single-use gloves before handling hamburger patties to put onto grill. Then, peeling off the blue gloves and going back to the grill with the clear gloves on to cook the burger patties.
Correction: 12 VAC 5-421-580. A -- If used, single-use gloves shall be used for only one task such as working with ready-to-eat food or with raw animal food, used for no other purpose, and discarded when damaged or soiled, or when interruptions occur in the operation. **Employees should wash hands before donning gloves for working with foods and as often as necessary to remove soil and contamination and to prevent cross-contamination when chnaging tasks.

- Equipment and Utensils - Good Repair and Calibration
Observation: Dispensing equipment was observed in a state of repair and condition preventing effective maintenance and easy cleaning in that ice scoop stored on outside of ice machine observed severely cracked.
Correction: Discard, replace or repair the ice scoop to provide proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.

Observation: There is no cover to the feminine napkin refuse container in the patrons ladies room stall.
