Observation: The microwave oven is not commercial.
Correction: Replace the component of the microwave unit that makes the unit unsafe or replace the entire unit with a commercially-listed, ANSI-certified (such as NSF-approved) unit. Prior to purchase and installation of any new equipment, contact to make sure that replacement unit meets the specifications of Part IV, Articles 1 and 2 of these regulations.

Observation: Light bulbs near the three compartment sink are not shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-resistent.

Two people have registered to the April certified food managers class. Store all single use items at least six inches off the floor. No rugs are allow in the kitchen. Provide a covered trash can in the ladies restroom. Mail in payment for permit.
- Utensils - In-Use; Between-Use Storage
Observation: Dispensing utensils improperly stored between. Ice scoop on top of ice machine and ice scoop for bin on top of soda dispensers.
Correction: Store in-use utensils or dispensing utensils in one of the following manners: 1) In the food with their handles above the top of the food and the container. 2) In food that is not potentially hazardous with their handles above the top of the food within containers or equipment that can be closed. 3) On a clean portion of the food preparation table or cooking equipment only if the in-use utensil and the food-contact surface of the food preparation table or cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized every 4 hours. 4) In running water of sufficient velocity to flush particulates to the drain. 5) In a clean, protected location if the utensils are used only with a food that is not potentially hazardous. 6) In a container of water if the water is maintained at a temperature of at least 135°F and the container.

Correction: Provide a self-closer for the toilet room door. Completely enclosed toilet facilities minimize the potential for the spread of disease by the movement of flies and other insects between the toilet facility and food preparation areas.

Observation: Outer opening of the food establishment is not protected against entry of insects and rodents. One serving window has openings to the outside. Outer door not self closing.
Correction: Protect the food establishment against the entry of insects and rodents by: 1. Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings
- Handwashing Signage/Handwashing Facilities
Observation: A sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands is not provided at all lavatories used by food employees. No signs in restrooms.
Correction: Provide a sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands at all handwashing lavatories used by food employees.
- Physical Facilities in Good Repair
Observation: Some of the base molding is water damaged and in poor repair near ice machine and entrance. Water line for the ice machine is leaking at a hose connection.
Correction: Maintain physical facilities in good repair. Poor repair and maintenance compromises the functionality of the physical facilities.
