    Observation: Trash and litter were observed adjacent to the refuse container outside the facility.
    Correction: Within 10 days clean the area around the dumpster and notify EHS when complete. You may either notify the inspector or provide a picture via email to show that the area around the dumpster was cleaned of trash. Storage area and enclosure for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be maintained free of unnecessary items and kept clean.
  • Floor , Wall & Ceiling / Design
    Observation: The ceiling tile located in the dry storage area is stucco and thus not smooth and easily cleanable.
    Correction: Wall, floor, and ceiling surfaces shall be smooth, durable, easily cleanable, and non-absorbent for areas subject to moisture such as food preparation areas, walk-in refrigerators, warewashing areas, and toilet rooms.

    Observation: Upon discussion with the person-in-charge, one or more of the elements of an effective employee health policy is either missing or incomplete. A complete employee health policy is required to be in place at the food establishment. At the time of this inspection, the Health Department provided and reviewed handouts and resource information in a red folder labeled "Employee Health Policy.
    Correction: A complete employee health policy must have the following elements:
    1) Employee training on foodborne illness, particularly symptoms of illness and prevention of the Big Five illnesses (see "What is Foodborne Illness" handout)

    Observation: Food stored on the floor and/or food stored less than 6 inches off the floor: marshmellow and applesauce on floor in dry storage.
    Correction: Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food at least 6 inches off the floor on approved shelving units or dunnage racks. Milk crates, soda crates, or bread racks are not suitable for food storage.
