    Observation: The nonfood contact surface of the cabinet under the kitchen sinks is black and rough from water damage.
    Correction: Nonfood contact equipment that is exposed to splash, spillage, food soiling, or requires frequent cleaning must be smooth, durable, and nonabsorbent. ( provide smoth and cleanable surface.
  • Food Contact Surfaces - Cleanability*
    Observation: The food contact surface of the kitchen counter is not designed or constructed to be smooth and it contains cracks, chips, or pits that can not be easily cleaned. ( Kitchen counter has openings and gaps that must be sealed.)
    Correction: Replace or repair the kitchen counter to provide a food contact surface that is smooth and easily cleanable, free of breaks, open seams, cracks, chips, pits, sharp internal angles, corners, and crevices to prevent build-up of food debris. ( repair before permit issued and needs to be replaced because counter is rotten and broken annd must be corrected within 60 days )
  • Backflow Prevention Device, Design Standard
    Observation: A backflow prevention device needed for mop sink.
    Correction: Provide the approved backflow or backsiphonage device for the specific application and type of device to prevent contamination of the drinking water system.
  • Critical: Plumbing System Maintained in Good Repair*
    Observation: Sinks in kitchen have drain leaks.
    Correction: Properly repair the sink drains.
