  • Critical: Toxics - Common Name/working Containers of Toxics* (corrected on site)
    Observation: Observed two chemical spray bottles unlabeled. PIC labeled the bottles during the inspection.
    Correction: Working containers of toxic items are to be properly labeled with contents. Identification of these containers with the common name of the material helps prevent the dangerous misuse of the contents.

1. Recommended that all refrigeration units are set at 36'F-38'F in order to keep potentially hazardous foods at 41'F or below. Adjust thermostat if necessary.
2. Ensure a proper backflow device is installed on the water line to the steamer when the unit is installed.
3. Provided to the PIC: consumer advisory information, cooking temperature handout
Inspection conducted as a seasonal opening inspection. No food prep observed. Facility is approved to operate for the 2015 season.

    Observation: A review of the menu with the foodservice operator indicates that there is no consumer advisory for the eggs on the breakfast menu that may be served raw and/or undercooked. PIC stated a consumer advisory will be added to the menu prior to opening. Information on consumer advisory provided to the PIC during the inspection.
    Correction: If an animal food such as beef, eggs, fish, lamb, milk, pork, poultry, or shellfish is served or sold raw or undercooked the permit holder shall inform consumers of the significantly increased risk of consuming such foods by way of a disclosure and reminder using brochures, deli case or menu advisories, label statements, table tents, placards, or other effective written means.
