New manager food manager certificate issued from Va. Beach Health Dept. need to be transferred over to a Norfolk food manager certificate. There is a $10 transfer fee. Application left on site with manager to have filled out and sent in with permit fee.
  • Temperature Measuring Devices
    Observation: Thermometer missing inside Frigidaire fridge.
    Correction: Provide a temperature measuring device in all hot or cold holding equipment used to store potentially hazardous foods so that employees can routinely monitor the ambient air temperature.
  • Equipment - Good Repair and Proper Adjustment
    Observation: Beverage air reach-in holding at elevated temp.
    Correction: Repair the Beverage air reach-in to restore a state of condition that allows for proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter. If unable to repair the Beverage air reach-in, replace it with one that meets the specifications of Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.
  • Critical: Equipment - Food Contact Surfaces, Nonfood Contact Surfaces, and Utensils
    Observation: Observed accumulations of grime and debris on the following food contact surfaces: Ice build up in United freezer, bottom shelf and slicer in back area, ice buildup inside small white fridge.
    Correction: Clean and sanitize these surfaces for food contact.
  • Physical Facilities in Good Repair
    Observation: Openings and exposed wires observed at front counter area.
    Correction: Maintain physical facilities in good repair. Poor repair and maintenance compromises the functionality of the physical facilities.
  • Conformance with Approved Procedures (repeated violation)
    Observation: Temperature logs are not being maintained by the establishment.
    Correction: Maintain accurate temperature logs.

    Correction: Repair the cover to restore a state of condition that allows for proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter. If unable to repair the cover, replace it with one that meets the specifications of Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.

    Observation: Freezer box in need of defrosting due to ice buildup.
    Correction: Remove ice and clean and sanitize these surfaces for food contact.

    Observation: Temperature logs are not being maintained by the establishment.
    Correction: Maintain accurate temperature logs at least three times a day.

Keep copy of cards on site. Product checked is holding at proper temperatures. Refrigeration is holding at proper temperatures.
