Description: If you love to line dance and live for country music, this is the place to go. It was voted the best nightclub with restaurant in 2009 by readers of The Virginian-Pilot. There’s a lot of history on the two large dance floors. The Banque opened in 1973. The club is open Wed through Sat nights. They offer free dance lessons, and if you get tired of dancing, there’s pool tables, Texas hold ’em, and blackjack games. And if you go see a movie, concert, opera, or anything with a ticket stub, save it and you can get into the Banque that same night free for a little after-event exercise. Belles’ Dry Goods store is located inside the club with everything you might need in Western wear to cowboy up.
13. Granby Theater/Premiere Nightclub

Description: This movie palace opened in 1915 and was lovingly restored a few years ago. It hosts a Top 40 and Remix Dance Party every Fri night and on Sat the theater becomes the Premiere Nightclub for another dip into Top 40 and Remix. The interior is worth the visit alone, with original chandeliers, hand painted proscenium, and gold leaf finished trim. It has a large wooden dance floor, a dozen VIP balconies, and six VIP booths as well as a Penthouse Lounge.
