Description: You can almost cast your fishing line into the Truckee River right from your campsite at Granite Flat campground. Many of the 75 RV and tent sites sit right on the banks of the rushing water. Granite Flat is also especially wheelchair friendly, with 16 accessible campsites and a wheelchair-accessible river trail. Seven walk-in campsites are also available. Basic services for the $18 fee include piped water and vault toilets. Pets are okay on leashes. Since the campground is just off the highway, it’s noisy at times and lacks the seclusion of more isolated sites.
