KBD Group, 6200 Troup Highway, commercial new industrial, $26,288,389

This permit was listed in the Tyler Paper with no explanation as to what project, the permit, is for.

I looked up The Trane Corporation's address, yes, their address is 6200 Troup Highway. I may call Trane and see if they will share the information of what is being built. Surely, more jobs are to be added.

Just happened to see this, don't have a dog in this hunt, but decided to do some research.

Trane is a rather large corporation, apparently headquartered in Ireland.

Quote:
Trane Technologies Inc. is a manufacturer of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and building management systems and controls. The company was a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand Inc. which was the successor company to the American Standard Companies. Wikipedia)
Quote:
KBD Group: Kajima Building & Design Group is a Design-Build Company supporting and building projects across the United States. We are experts in construction. %
I would make an educated guess that the Tyler area is about to see a large plant, probably with a large number of jobs, in the near future. I would bet that there have been some press releases in the past, most likely low level which many people glossed over.

But then, I could be wrong. I've been wrong in the past. Mainly in my lottery ticket picks.

You are welcome. I don't know why but your post aroused my curiosity and I decided to go looking for an answer.

That, and I am looking at places to live in Texas.

Come on, investigate Tyler in April-May, the "Chamber of Commerce" Spring months for visitors, and possibly others. DFW, just 1 1/2 hrs away. The Ozark Mts, maybe three hours away. Dig thru my many, fairly balanced posts, on Tyler, send directly to me if interested in something else specific. Many have in the past. Best to you with your decision.

Isn't the Trane Corporation (which may be owned by KBD Group, I don't know) building new buildings, in part to replace the huge one whose roof collapsed during the winter storm of February 2021? I drove by there the other day and that's what it looked like to me.
