Whenever I hear people talking about Texas always hear about Austin, Dallas, and Houston but rarely about San Antonio. Is there a reason for this?

Is San Antonio less developed than the other Texas cities or what is going on?

DFW = #4 Biggest metro in whole USA
Houston - #5 Biggest metro in whole USA

SanAntonio is #25, so way down the list.

Austin is only #35, but IT IS 'Little SanFranciso' , so it gets an inordinate amount of attention

I agree with the OP. San Antonio is pretty much ignored compared to other cities in TX. Even Waco, which is smaller than SA, is much more mentioned in this forum...

Agreed! (Having grown up on a ranch in tourista Estes Park, Colorado, but chased away in the 1970's by influx from TX and CA).

45 yrs later... If you can't beat them, join them

Hope San Antonio stays off the radar! (Especially Kim Jung Un's radar)

San Antonio seems to me to be overlooked and probably unappreciated. I've heard people now and then rave about it as though it's Texas's best kept secret because it has a lot of what Austin has in terms of landscape and none of the pretentiousness.
