I don't understand these sorts of conspiracy theories. You do realize that individual counties handle voting, right? I cannot even fathom a scenario in which there could be enough cooperation among the thousands and thousands of election officials across the country -- from all different political stripes -- to rig an election.

You are the smartest liberal in Amer....., formally in America. I have many liberal friends tell me all the time how great Europe is and how we should make the States just like them. I tell them if they like it so much why don't you just live there. My forefathers moved to the US to get away from Europe, I certainly don't want it over here.

Ask to have the thread moved if it frosts you so much.

The EU is about to implode, partly over the migrant/refugee situation, and partly because the EU financials were poorly thought out. This is not a conspiracy theory. Many parts of the EU are on the brink of civil war, and many parts are on the brink of bankruptcy and default.

The Brexit vote was evidence of a growing trend toward a revolt against Brussels. The reaction from Brussels was to squelch any further thoughts of exit. That will fail.

European Socialism, seen by US liberals as a wonderful model to be emulated, will never succeed in the US. Americans are very different than Europeans; our history, culture, economics and political philosophy are totally out of sync. It was once common for Europeans to immigrate to the US for a better life. Now we see American liberals moving to Europe for a better life.

I wish them well....

1. He will let congress cancel Obamacare. Health insurance companies will shed high risk clients like a golden retriever sheds water after a swim. Right now, 90% of Americans have health insurance. A year after Trump we'll be back to the pre-Obamacare 70%, and the ones who get dumped are the ones who are really sick.

2. Congress is itching to shed Medicare. If we end up with Ryan's voucher plan, it's going to get expensive fast.

3. His tax cuts for the rich program will bump our national debt from 80% of GDP to 102% of GDP in 10 years. On the plus side, a massive government borrow-and-spend program might finally bring down the dollar, at the cost of rapid inflation. If he really manages to default on foreign debt like he says, the dollar will turn into toilet paper overnight.

I have never been much into metals, but I think if Trump gets elected it will be time to buy gold and silver. I'm really hoping that congress buys the $650 million debt he owes to the Russians and Muslims. It's uncomfortable to think of the US president's finances being in the hands of Russians and Muslim religious fanatics. He has already said that he wants to give the Arabs nukes, and that would let the nut cases in the Middle East start a nuclear war. If that happens it really will be TEOTWAWKI.

What kind of plans are you making?
He owes money to the Muslims? That's a new one to me.

Me? No, I *want* Trump to win.

I like him, and I like his style. It's long overdue we had someone like him in the Whitehouse.

Up the status quo.

Your ending question aside... this post appears to be about politics, not self-sufficiency or preparedness.
Most of self-sufficiency and preparedness is about politics. Real world problems are pretty trivial until the politicians get in the way. For the first time in the history of America we have congress critters elected with the avowed intent to destroy the government. The historical parallels are Weimar Germany, with the anarchists and communists who each wanted absolute control, and of course the Roman Republic, which fell because its Senate became worthless.

If we are going to be faced with TEOTWAWKI in our lifetimes, it's going to be an elected SHTF.

obamacare did nothing but make medical insurance more expensive. it was a crock.

the only things that obamacare did was make more money for medical insurance companies, and to add another level of bureaucracy in the government.

obamacare is nothing but a crock.

I just noticed something as well, another 1 poster troll again.
Obamacare has boosted the percentage of American with health insurance from 83% to 90% since it passed in 2010, and if you don't count the states that refused the additional Medicaid money, 94% of Americans now are covered. I do agree that Obamacare needs to be replaced with a single payer health system like Medicare. There is no reason to let the health insurance companies have a cut of every medical care dollar.

I found out that Canada has a list of trades and professions it needs filled: Doctors, nurses, bricklayers, truck drivers, pastry chefs, schoolteachers, barbers, construction laborers, etc.

Nowhere on the list did I see actors, journalists, commentators, pundits, "activists", reporters, or whiners.

That's why they had to stay. And the requirements have tightened up since 2004. It WOULD be cool if Venezuela would take them.
I'm sure the Belgians living in the Ardennes a century ago felt the same.
