Yeah! They're moving into the former Mimi's Cafe in Roseville on Galleria Boulevard.

Although a big upgrade, it's still sad to see that Mimi's Cafe never had staying power. It was a cute concept but a bit of a vestige of older coffee shop concepts. They've closed so many locations all over the place.

^^I miss Mimi's ^^

87. Slice House by Tony Gemignani. At The Shops in Folsom - 3210 East Bidwell St. (3 other locations planned for Sac, Elk Grove, Roseville)

apparently Tony is a pizza superstar - Pizzalolo - Italian for pizza maker.

This restaurant has a Variety of pizza styles:

Detroit style - thick rectangle crust with sauce on top of cheese. Never had this, Yet!

NY style - thin and wide with a soft bottom and crunchy edge, strangely 8 out of 10 pizzas I've had in NYC have been crappy oily messes......I never seem to pick the right place when in NYC

Sicilian style - airy rectangular crust thinner than Detroit style

Grandma style - rectangular and thinner than Sicilian style

But they don't have:

St. Louis Style - my favorite and the most unique style in the USA - In order for this to be authentic it must contain a special cheese called Provel made in the state of Missouri. Provel cheese is sort of like Velveeta, sounds kinda gross but it's tasty with a unique flavor and better texture. You pretty much can only get this style of pizza in the St. Louis Area.

Chicago style, it wasn't mentioned.

New Jersey style - Actually the best pizza I've ever had! On the South Jersey Shore beach front - far coastal suburbs of Philly.

Yeah, I also liked Mimi's Cafe. It was a nice concept. I dined at the original restaurant in West Hollywood, which was the French Quarter Market.

Their store on Arden is still open, right? I used to love their pot roast.

I don't eat enough meat anymore to get even close to making it worthwhile for me to eat there, it's $66 per person in Las Vegas & $76 in Emeryville.

There aren't very many; Cantina Azteca has one every day, I think it's over at 5:00 pm; $6 house maragaritas, $4 draft beer, $3 tacos or quesadilla. https://www.cantinaazteca.com/ Zocalo has one but you'd have to call or go talk to them it's been 3 or 4 years since I was there so I have no idea what their happy hour prices are now. Ruth Chris's has one 4-7 on weeknights but the offerings are very limited.
