$250 one time payment for Social Security recepients (deposit, checking account, get)

I'm not talking about the one they are talking about in the future.
In august I got thru direct deposit $250 in my checking account. My husband did not. Neither did our two chilkdren who draw SS on their father's account. Before I spend over an hour trying to get somebody from SS on the phone would somebody explain this to me?
Are my DH and 2 kids eligible and just got lost in the paperwork? All our deposits are direct deposit and I can't figure out why I got mine but nobody else in our family did.

The social security website says ony adults get it and they must have receive ss in Nov or Dec 2008 or jan 2009.Thier nwebsite has the information.

There were some specifics on who got it, for instance, my mother did, her husband did not. Obviously, you were the only one eligible. I honestly don't recall the details, it was if you currently work maybe? As texdav suggests, look at the website - don't waste your time calling the SSA only for naught.
