It’s great to achieve your financial goals, but for many I think that comes with a loss of motivation or even a loss of purpose.
Has anyone else has experienced this? What have you done to push past it?
Money itself was never my goal, the freedom of having enough money to retire and do exactly what I want every day was my goal. We achieved that 20 years ago and I have never had loss of motivation or purpose.
I can not understand why rich business people are not happy with their success and need MORE money.
Enough money should be enough.
I think it's different when you own your own business. I started my appraisal business 31 years ago. It sort of becomes like another child. You protect it, you nurture it and you work hard to make it succeed. I never thought about the money, just about how well the business was going. As a result, I have enough to last my lifetime and even my kid's lifetime. But it was never about the money.
Being filthy stinking rich is not all it is cracked up to be. Beautiful 20 year old women chasing me, trying to decide which expensive vehicle to pick from the fleet to drive every day and having to grab reading glasses to see all numbers in my bank account.
It's not easy being on easy street!
