Hello everybody,
i am looking for my father from Albania (via Germany), who immigrated in USA in 1956. His first adress in America was in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Does anybody has an idea how I could find him?

We need his full name, with a middle initial if at all posible. We also need to know his approximate age. Did he have a trade he practiced? Were there others here in the states he knew?

His name is Ymer Xhafer, and he was born between 1916 and 1930 in Albania. I hope that he is still alive. I dont know if he has a trade and who were his friends, but in 1956 he worked for the U.S. Army in Germany.

Since there doesn't seem to be too many people with that last name in the U.S., or, at least, on zabasearch.com, you might want to write some letters to the people listed on the following web page. I think there is one phone number. They may be old, but these are only recorded dates. They might still reside there. Good luck.

Thanks a lot! It seems that in Ellis Island there are only recorded the ships that arrived many years before 1956. In Zabasearch there are some Xhaferis, but no Ymer. Maybe one of these is a relative of him, I will try to contact them. Thank you very much!
