Cul-de-sac in Nellie Gail Ranch community, one of the few equestrian communities of South Orange County located in the city of Laguna Hills. Nellie Gail is not gated like many other communities with million+ homes and is very popular for driving through at Christmas time to see the elaborate lights on the beautiful homes.

Across this drain ditch, train tracks, and freeway is the hills of Mission Viejo. Crane is at Mission Hospital, where a second tower is going up.

Now in Mission Viejo, this is the Madrid Community surrounding Mission Viejo High School.

The original street in Mission Viejo, this is La Paz Road. Beautiful street with jacaranda trees up the entire road, making for a great entrance to the city center.

Barcelona Hills track in north Mission Viejo. Great neighborhood set on a very big hill with panoramic views of the valley below. It is very pretty at night.

Trabuco Road approaching Los Alisos Blvd. and the MV/Lake Forest border.

Serrano Highlands- One of Lake Forest's best neighborhoods. Very clean and good quality constructed homes.

Forgot this one yesterday from San Marino in Mission Viejo

Its graduation season here in Orange County! I'm so sad, my oldest graduates next year What is a mother to do? Well, my son was a junior honor escort (the people holding the flags in pics) for the graduation ceremony of this years senior class. I went to take a few photos of him doing this. It is a nice tradition at the school where a selected group of juniors represent the junior class in giving the best wishes of the juniors to the graduating seniors. I ended up staying for the whole ceremony and kept thinking how I'll be here next year for my own son.
So, here is commencement at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo

Anyone have their kids graduating or already graduated this year? It would be nice to share the photos. We have a lot of great high schools here in Orange County and the more photos in this thread the better. I really wish I could get some photos of other areas, but I'm in south county mainly so lets get some more from North OC and the beaches. This is a really great thread and it should represent this county the best it can.

PICTURES of ORANGE COUNTY-joshuadrive.jpg

I've attached a few (very old, hence the quality) pics of Rancho Santa Margarita from the mid-1980's. In order, they are:

Antonio Parkway where the Villas Antonio apartments are now (facing opposite direction)

Empresa and Santa Margarita (on the same side of the street as the car dealers)

Plano Trabuco and Joshua Drive (and my name is Joshua, which is why we took a pic of that sign )

No gangs in OC except for Santa Ana maybe... Not like LA for sure.

Garden Grove is NOT upper middle class according to OC standards... Good schools, yes, but beautiful it is NOT!

I live in RSM and consider that to be middle class, Dove Cyn, Laguna Niguel to be UPPER middle class, and Newport Coast/Laguna Beach to be upper class. Garden Grove is just a slight step above Santa Ana in my opinion.

I hate Irvine! Work there but could NEVER live there. Traffic lights are a mess, and it's ugly!

Compared to Sacramento where I live - Garden Grove is totally middle class and Santa Ana would be considered beautiful and very safe. Rancho Santa Margarita would be "off the charts" poshness up this way.
