Buggy is missing the point here. If someone has a 2 million dollar apartment in a building, they are nit parking their car outside. Mostly peasants living in the city park outside.
This was around Union Square Park, on 16th and broadway area. There are lots of bars there and when I got out late there was a guy confronting a ticket man complaining about the ticket. I was lucky I got to my car while they were arguing. I looked down the block there were atleast more than a half dozen cars receiving summons.
I think the gotcha in NYC are that they've added new signs on top of original signs. If you see a sign that says no parking from 7am-6pm. Make sure you walk around the block and look for one new sign that says "overnight rules no parking midnight - 2am."
It's Effing Bullcrap they installed these new signs to override existing signs that were there for years.
I might as well take my business elsewhere if they keep putting out money grabbing policies.
