It would have been built on top of a rail yard. You don't think they could have built remote parking in Queens, NJ, and maybe the Bronx, and trained in the fans? It would have been the most transit connected stadium in the country.

I think going to Met Life can be a pain without a car. If you were to go by train. It will take 90 mins+ just to get from Brooklyn or Queens. From Long Island you're looking at a 2 hour drive and now with congestion toll you will have to pay $15-32 depending on which way you want to get hit with tolls.
Would've been better off had they build the stadiums in Nassau and nearby LIRR but the businesses don't want that. There's not much expensive hotels and restaurants out there.

Hoboken will have a ton of trains running to Metlife that day. Subway to the PATH to NJ transit for NYC'ers. For Long Islanders, it's not as easy.

They will probably have busses running for the games to the stadium from Manhattan.

Getting their by train is fine, getting out when everyone leaves is a whole different story. Crash an after game tailgate party and wait it out.
