I was just in your city for the weekend and it was amazing! It was the second time I have been. It is truly a unique American city with some of the best food in the country!

interesting,I lived in Uptown near Tulane from 1990 for ten years,of all the cities I have lived in,I like New Orleans best,not for the mildew odor which cannot be masked by strong A/C in the French Qtr bars,but the streetcars,the sidewalks,the shot gun house,the poverty,the crayfish and the French Qtr and Riverwalk,you dont find it anywhere else.
Often take the street car to downtown and walk across the street,you blend with the tourists,there is a place where a male black singer will be singing into his microphone outside to draw the crowd,there are 3 black girls who sing the Supreme,it is always crowded.
and what is the name of the grocery store which served that sandwich started with a M?Mufalata??
And the CAfe which serve coffee and hot beignets,I watched the waiter cheated on the drunk,treating his $20 bill as $5 or $10 and give him the wrong change.
The food is a little too rich for me,but coffee and beignets are nice.
I sometimes will take advantage of Tulane campus free concerts,movies,library and swimming pool,it is a nice campus,when I was there,there is a joke,students drive Maserati and professor drives Toyota !
There is also a fish store on side street,run by an Italain lady across from Woolworth,I am sure Woolworth is gone and a coffee shop with outdoor sitting not far from Winn Dixie,every one goes there.
I miss New Orleans,it is different from the other cities and people are friendly,Iguess because most are not rich,thats why they have nothing to lose.!!
