Selective sure, but you can't do what I saw implied here... aka, people you know who make less than the threshold.

The applicants will definitely be from an approved list. The landlord may have some selection leeway, but only from a list.

Tenants may be undesirable for an entirely different and legitimate reason, but still be a member of a protected class, in which case you're stuck with them.

We’re all just speculating at this point, but I can’t imagine many homeowners signing up if they don’t have full control of who they select within those income guidelines.

I personally wouldn’t do it in my primary residence because I don’t like the 10 year commitment. I would imagine if I have/want to sell within those 10 years that limits the buyer pool.

Hopefully I can get the money, fix up my basement and use it for my mother who makes nothing. It would be nice for the state to pay me to improve my house. Maybe I can get her some government assistance and then I can get more money that way. Sucks to be in the 2%, but maybe this will get me over the line and be a true 1%-er
