Can anyone tell me anything about this island? I know it is near Three Mile Island, and that there is a cemetary on the island and that it is lined with houses, but that's about it. I am guessing the residents get there by boat? Are there any stores? Can you walk around? What is it like? Would appreciate *any* info. Thanks.

Shelly Island
I currently have a cabin on Shelly Island Lot 155.. Just bought it in August 09.. The island actually has 2 cemetarys on the island right across from each other, plus the orginal school house is still on the island yet.. You can walk the island it is just about 3 miles all the way around or it has a cut through the center then roughly 1.5 each way.. I myself have a golf cart to get around now since meeting new friends there.. The is a few stores you can get to by boat and a short walk 1st being in Goldsboro the 2nd is in Yorkhaven.. Goldsboro's is like a mom and pop general store from yesteryear good for the basic's as the same is yorkhaven just more modernized.. I come from the east shore side so I just stop at Giant in middletown or karn's.. Boating is great in the area which is also called Lake Fredrick.. Think I have pictures somewhere will dig around.. Forgot.. Can also boat to different resturaunts/bars.. 3 in Yorkhaven and 1 just below goldsboro all have exellent food..

Your thinking of City Island in Harrisburg about 10 or so miles up river.. Still have the concerts and other stuff going on in H-burg

Guess I should have said.. The tomb stones are getting very weathered and hard to read.. Not all but quite a few.. Finally walked through and was reading some of them.. 1700-1800's.. was thinking of going to my cabin this weekend just to check things out, i'll walk over and get some pictures.. If anyone is close feel free to tag along..

It is leased on Shelley and Baeshore islands.. The other 2 Beech and Hill you get a 99 year transferable lease.. I lease from Yorkhaven Power co. $550 a year..
