Hello! I am going to be moving to Carlisle for school all the way from Arizona so I know nothing about the area. I will be arriving on a weekend and need to get from the Harrisburg airport to Carlisle. What's the cheapest way to do this? I will have two suitcases and so will the person I am with.

Also, the person coming with me and I are going to take a two-day trip to Washington DC. I've been told that since I am going to be in Carlisle I will first have to go to Harrisburg and then go from Harrisburg to DC. Is this correct? What's the cheapest way to do this?

You should probably get a taxi for the trip between HIA and Carlisle. There are Capital Area Transit bus routes both between the airport and downtown Harrisburg and between Carlisle and downtown Harrisburg, but they are infrequent and in the case of the Harrisburg-Carlisle service, they may only operate during the week.

Look at the Capital Area Transit website for more details: CAT: Capital Area Transit
