Is anyone using the new Full Text search feature in FamilySearch Labs? So far it offers US Land and Probate Records and Mexico Notary Records, with more to be added soon.
I found lots of deeds and mortgage records for my ancestors, a few wills, and miscellaneous stuff. Most were not very useful, but there were a few interesting details, and the dates of some documents helped me narrow down death dates for some ancestors when that information was unknown before.
I was playing with the feature earlier today. Beware - don’t trust the transcript completely.
I was reading a transcript which referred to the purchase of land by a man and his sixth wife. I did a double take when I read that. Then I read the image itself - which very clearly stated “and his wife.” The word “sixth” did not appear at all. I scratched my head over that. The document was typed and there were no smudges on the paper.
Yes, there are plenty of errors from the machine transcription, but I'm impressed by how much it gets right, even with handwriting. Having the side-by-side original image and transcription makes it easy to compare.

It’s a game changer once it is available for many more record image collections which haven’t been indexed yet. It is so time consuming having manually to go through unindexed images one by one hoping to find specific name.
Yep, already broke down a brick wall thanks to this feature. They were beta testing it a while ago and then suddenly disabled it with no warning and no explanation - they finally properly released it and announced it at RootsTech I think. So glad it's back.
Of course there's transcription errors - but I'm amazed at how reliable it is at simply finding the right records.
