There has been some dusting that didn't even accumulate a half inch, I call that insignificant. Can't speak for Bentonville, don't live there but how much worse could it be 10 miles away? I'm glad, I hate snow! and there is no comparison between this year to last year so far, check out the almanac. Again, I'm very happy - I hate cold!

OP is coming from central Illinois, which is one of the most tornado prone regions in the entire nation. As such, they’re likely used to dealing with that type of threat.

While the Ozarks aren't the absolute most tornado-prone area, that's among the most dangerous type of weather event to be mindful of, I suppose. Flooding is more common though. Ice storms at least every few years.
Arkansas is no weather heaven but could be worse.
Just because someone mentions the word "tornado" doesn't mean they're Chicken Little, looking up at the sky all the time.

We just finished our lunch and I'm savoring the last sip of my wine while staring out at the 2 - 3 ft snowdrift in front of the garage.
But it's ok, it's part of the deal living here. And so is the cold! But what I can tell you is that being cold or not cold is .......relative to YOU! If you are cold... it's cold. And vice versa for the heat. The humidity here makes the cold so much colder.

You will love our weather and by March is should be warming up nicely. Our foster daughter is meeting us for our cruise next Wednesday. She is flying from Or and is going through Chicago; she is worried sick that the weather may delay she flight from O'hare to San Juan. We are not worried at all about flying from here to Sa Juan. We know it could happen but not likely.

It's amazing how there are so many historic buildings and old homestead cabins still standing after 100+ years with all the tornadoes swirling around.

Depends on what part of the country you're comparing it to. Much more tornado prone than parts of the western U.S.
