There's actually not a lot of homes that meet your criteria (I did a quick search and found 11 currently on the market that meet your criteria), so price will have to determine your locale. Arvada might be a possibility. It'd be within 30 minutes of both Downtown Denver as well as Interlocken/Broomfield, and would have a few homes in your price range, if you can live in an older home. (You won't find many newer homes on quarter-acre lots anyway). Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Westminster might be other examples of places to find older homes that meet your criteria. Centennial and Aurora might have some homes in your range, but they may be more than 30 minutes from Downtown Denver, although they would be closer to the DTC tech jobs.

Monument is not 30 min from downtown Denver, however. Broomfield is a possiblity.

Yes I know that. However, sometimes people are willing to drive a little longer to have the house, land, school district they want, IN the price range they want. I know 3 people right off hand that did that.

Can someone confirm the following...

In terms of neighborhoods:

Highlands Ranch - upper class
Parker - upper middle class
Arvada - upper middle class
Littleton - middle class
Commerce City - lower middle class
Longmount - upper middle class
Loveland - middle class
Fort Collins - middle class
Aurora - middle class
Thornton - middle class
Golden - upper middle class

I know there are exceptions but I want to know in general. For example, out here in Silicon Valley we mostly know where the high end to middle class are:

Palo Alto - upper middle class
Atherton - upper class
Woodside - upper class
San Jose - middle class
Campbell - middle class
Cupertino - upper middle class
Mountain View - upper middle class
Morgan Hill - upper middle class
Gilroy - middle class

Yes, we have exceptions too out here with pockets of wealth in different cities. There could be million+ dollar homes in Campbell and crappy homes in Mountain View. But I'm look for a general sentiment as a whole.

Thank you.

[quote=Palindromed;1207392]Can someone confirm the following...

In terms of neighborhoods:

Highlands Ranch - upper class Not really, there's a mixture of lots of housing types
Parker - upper middle class Don't know
Arvada - upper middle class Big mixture
Littleton - middle class Don't know, lots of housing with Littleton addresses that is not in Littleton.
Commerce City - lower middle class In the past, now getting some higher-end housing
Longmount - upper middle class (Laughs) A true "diverse" town, with a little bit of everything, probably the least of which is definable as "upper middle".
Loveland - middle class Don't know
Fort Collins - middle class Don't know, is a college town, (Colorado State) so has lots of student housing, professor housing, what have you.
Aurora - middle class (Again lauging) Similar to Longmont.
Thornton - middle class Again, quite diverse. If you had to label it, probably more middle than anything else.
Golden - upper middle class
Well, that depends. Pricey for what you get is more like it. Also has student influence from School of Mines.

All this depends, of course, on what your definition of these words is.
