My Opinion......
North Texas Should NOT Accept a Bowl Bid.
The Program should not embarrass themselves further.

There are way too many bowl games anyway.

I'm thinking they will take all those extra practices and not complain about it one iota.

They do make money, and get a little press coverage, but my opinion is that there are way too many bowls. Like giving a trophy to everyone who participates....rather than just to the winners. Bowl games should be a reward for the best of the best teams.....and North Texas, my Alma Mater, is not one of the best teams this time around.
But again, that is just my opinion.

About the IOWA Game. Yes, it was a Job, but they made it interesting: :leading at halftime, and they stayed in it until the 4th quarter, when the guys wore down and the depth of a big school like IOWA becomes evident.
They were not picked to win, but they made it fun to watch.

This week, back to the powerhouses of the C-USA This week it is UAB. Probably wont be televised here, but hopefully a win at home.

There's actually a UNT football thread... ?? Amazing.

My daughter is going there... so I keep half an eye on them... that's a little much, maybe a quarter of an eye...

Too many running plays for Iowa wore them down late.

You guys have UAB next. You know the last thing you guys want to do is take on anything that's come back from the dead. You know, Zombies, Vampires, Mummies, or Blazers.

Today is UTSA the "ROADRUNNERS" who have seemingly run over the Mean Green a lot in the past few seasons. North Texas has the tools to keep eeking out wins, but the problem when a team continually eeks out wins is that sooner or later, there is a total blowout, and not in a good way.
The toughest games other wise will be Louisiana Tech on the road and Army at home
The Bulldogs have always played the Mean Green tough, and with homefield advantage, that could turn into a real slobber-knocker.

as for the Army game, the Soldiers have a running back by committee that can wear down and tear down a defense. Like DROb mentioned, Iowa ran them down with running plays. Army has more good running backs than Iowa. While the Golden Knights do not have much of a passing game, they do have an ability to sack, so the QB will have to be running options and screen passes.

Wish I could come to Denton for that one, but I already bought tickets for everyone to come here for Thanksgivin' and will have to hope it is on TV here in Sunny (Hot) Florida.
