Anyway, you might say she's mine. I've grown to love her. My problem is this -- I sold my house and I expect to be moving from NJ to NC around July. I'd like to take her with me but I'd need to trap her, put her in a pet carrier and travel 12 hrs. to NC. What can I give her to trap her without harming her? Also, when I get there I'll have to put her outside again like I did all the years in NJ. Do you think it's best for me to leave her behind and hope that the new owners will take care of her? I'm heartbroken because the neighborhood I lived in is all she knows. I feel that if I take her to NC, it may do her more harm than good. Can someone please advise me on what you think would be the best thing I can do for her? Thank you.

I would start a new thread so you'll get more responses.
Is she tame enough to pet or truly feral? If the former, maybe there is a rescue you could work with to find a home for her before you leave.
If not, I would make call a feral cat rescue or a group that does TNR (trap neuter release) in your area and see what they recommend.
I doubt the new owners would take care of her. Very few people want to care for a feral cat. I would lean toward taking her with you but I'm no expert.
Thank you for taking care of her and being concerned about what will happen to you when you leave.
Good luck.
