Need advice about neighbourhoods (apartments, for rent, condos)

(Or maybe you call them "communities" there, from one thing I saw...)

Could any current or former Calgarians recommend a few neighbourhoods that meet most or all of the following criteria?

* close to a decent park or access to cycling paths
* a good choice of interesting and slightly-more upscale eateries, wine bars, coffee shops
* newer construction-- modern apartments and condos for rent
* higher proportion of single adults vs. married couples or families with young kids
* fairly accessible to major roads/highways used for commuting to work
* nicely landscaped; not an "eyesore" area

The Kensington area, 10th St NW & Kensington Rd, is a great area. Also Cliff Bungalow, along 4th St SW south of 17th Ave is an area I'd be looking as well if it were me.

That or a condo along or near 17th Ave would fit most of your criteria but my first choice would be either of the above.
