Gorgeous doesn't make the grocery runs. Bigfork is a tiny area, where I used to live. Not much going for it - a couple of nice condo buildings and Flathead Lake Lodge - that's about it. Seeley Lake is in more open country. Polson, Ronan, down to St Ignats are in better shape. Plum Creek is mostly shut down and that was the big employer. Now mostly recreational housing. Bozeman got too popular, too soon.

Flathead Lake is the "draw". Just had a big Mack fishing tournament there to remove the big charr from the lake - they call them a non-native species. I got news for them at USF&WS - my 125 yr old fishing map clearly shows the range of the Macks - that includes Lakes McDonald, Flathead AND Yellowstone as being in their range. Damn govt won't leave well enough alone. They're fun to catch and eat and you don't need to kill 14,000 of them to make Fisheries happy. They could have fed the whole reservation.
