Wrong! That IS a Hahn's Macaw mixed with Sun Conure.

Sunset2000,

Lighten up a little. You even quoted my retraction that I added to my original post. I admitted I was mistaken. I bred birds from Budgies to Macaws for almost 30 years and had never heard of such a combination in all of that time.

dontask...dont take too much offence, sunset is a jerk to everyone who posts anythign aparently...

i hadnt herd of macaws and conures interbreeding up untill a few years ago and we got 3 "rescues" broght to the zoo, all clutchmates, 1 was a SCREAMER...i mean you literally took the "tude" of a mini macaw which are sily and bold and added the conure voice...the other 2 just wernt "normal" i dunno they realy did seem short buss special, they missed alot of learning cues, coudnt quite function normally, they seemed intelectually stunted ect...

Not worth it in my opinion

Tamzin youd be suprised at how small the mini macaws can be, the hahns macaw is actually about the same size as a cockateil, there so cute and tiny...but they still have BIG macaw attitudes!

My severe macaw jack jack isnt much bigger than some of the larger conures.

I think if everyone keeps interbreeding birds we are going to have a mess in the bird community . Please stop interbreeding birds we have enough mess and byb with dogs and cats now , I would hate to see birds end up like that too .

Why do you bother asking when you know what it is? I saw conure right away. I'm proud of myself for not knowing what the exact mix was. I would never be a part of interbreeding two already beautiful species.

what gts me is why interbreed them when as the pictures of the white eyed conure prove you can get a bird that looks almost exactly like it without purposely making mixed breed birds...
seems so pointless to me

Your argument is not applicable to this:
