This could be the beginning of some great stuff as the team gels after the Fernandez tragedy last year with some solid pitching (Straily, Volquez, Conley, Ramos), power hitting (Stanton, Ozuna, Yelich) and fielding (Rojas, Gordon, Bour).
As a Nationals fan, I was impressed with Yelich in the WBC, thought that would transfer to the regular season. Looks like he's started slow so far, and the Marlins as a team who I thought would be a lot better than they are.
If Derek Jeter's aura/mojo legend is to be kept intact, it is important that the Marlins do not start winning until after the new ownership is in place. That way he may be credited by the media for any turnaround that takes place. If they win now, that ruins the whole Jeter cavalry to the rescue dynamic

Oops, it's seems too late for that given their clearly in the running for the NL East pennant (or Wildcard) this year. I don't think the Jeter aura is in danger given Loria's record of dismantling the team whenever chemistry started to click. What the Marlins need is a consistency of winning and that's something Jeter can instill in terms of a mindset, versus worrying about when it's all going to come apart and crash to earth again.

It's a long season and historically the Marlins are a back half/down the stretch team versus out of the gates. Actually many Marlins fans are surprised to see them in or just out of 1st place this early in the season.

Yeah, they didn't do well. They always losing a game everyday. It's not acceptable. Don Mattingly will be fired. He had to go. Now!
