Redding Convention Center

The Redding Convention Center offers area residents and visitors a location where they can enjoy special events and attend trade and exhibit shows and conventions. The center is located in downtown Redding in one of the protected open spaces, so it will always have scenic surroundings like the Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the Sundial Bridge and the Sacramento River. The center is capable of accommodating more than 2,000 people in a stadium-style seating arrangement. The downstairs are offers space for 1,200 people and seating is orchestra and dress circle style. There is also balcony seating for over 800 people. During some events like trade shows and conventions, the seating in the main section is removed to open up the space for booths, exhibits and displays. The center offers a paved, well-lit parking area that is capable of accommodating more than 700 vehicles. In addition to conventions and exhibition shows, the center sometimes hosts theatrical performances. Redding is 160 miles north of the city of Sacramento in the Central Valley of California. The town of Redding is located in a natural setting boasting a number of rivers, creeks, hiking trails, parks and scenic vistas. Visitors to the city can enjoy staying at area bed and breaksfasts and dining at many of the locally owned restaurants.
