Palm Desert Community Center & Gymnasium

The Palm Desert Community Center and Gymnasium offers several activities for people of all ages and interests. It offers several types of classes ranging from arts and crafts, cooking, sports, and child rearing. Other classes offered include small business development and English as a second language. Palm Desert Community center and Gymnasium is part of the larger desert recreation district that has centers all over the area. Facilities at the Palm Desert Center are located both indoor and outdoor. Facilities include a weight room with free weights and aerobic equipment.

There are also large and small multipurpose rooms that can house several different types of events. The indoor regulation basketball court provides activities such as basketball, dodge ball, and a variety of court related games and activities. There is also an indoor jogging track for people who prefer running and walking indoors. There is also a children's play area full of safe equipment made specifically for children.

Visitors can also use the wide array of outdoor exercise and game equipment free of charge. There are fees associated with some of the activities and classes offered at the center. The center is open Monday-Friday from 6 am to 9 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. It is located at 43-900 San Pablo Avenue, Palm Desert, CA.
