Nojoqui Falls County Park

A secluded waterfall off Highway 101, Nojoqui Falls County Park sits a few miles south of Solvang and west of Santa Barbara. It is 1.5 miles east of Highway 101 near Gaviota Pass.

The word, "Nojoqui," is a Chumash word that has lost its meaning, but it is pronounced, "Na-hoo-ee." The spacious park features ball fields, barbecue pits, picnic tables, benches, playgrounds, and restrooms. The facilities are available for reservation. Park admission is free, but camping is not allowed. In addition, dogs must remain on leashes at all times.

Hikers love the short, mild half-mile hike that ends at a 100-foot waterfall. The hike is open year round from 8:00 a.m. to sunset. The elevation change from trailhead to destination totals approximately 225 feet. The trail is well-shaded, rarely crowded, and includes a few benches perched along the way.

Nojoqui Falls County Park sits in Santa Barbara's famous oceanfront district and is less than 100 miles northwest of LAX along the Pacific Coast.
