Nicholson Ranch

The Nicholson Ranch is a winery located in the Sonoma County region of California. The vineyard is in one of the most prized grape growing regions in the state and in the area due to the combination of soils and an ideal climate. The winery grows merlot, pinot noir, syrah, and chardonnay. The winery welcomes visitors for tastings, tours, and afternoon of picnicking in a pleasant environment. The winery's motto "sense of place" comes together with a combination of landscape, setting, heritage, and celebration at the winery. The winery is family-owned and located on 160 acres of land. The land has been in the family since 1962, since the parents of co-owner Ramona Nicholson bought the land. Ramona grew up on the ranch and in 1995 after marrying and starting a family, she and her husband moved back to the property and to begin the winery. The first wine was harvested in 2000 and three years later the winery had a state-of-the-art, gravity flow system in operation. The most popular wines at Nicholson are the Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay. Nicholson offers a wine club that entitles members to special discounts on wines, access to limited edition wines, and invitations to special events. Members are also allowed to hold private tastings with their friends.
