Sebastiani Theatre


Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma, Sonoma County, California is a movie theater with a bit of history. They also offer live entertainment such as art, foreign, and classic films. Contemporary, vintage music, ballet, opera, magic, and musical theatre shows are also held at the Sebastiani Theatre. They work to get as many new films as they have classics. For example, they have played Red, Inside Job, a Vintage Film Series, and It's a Wonderful Life as the cinema.

Sebastiani Theatre is considered the jewel of Sonoma. It was opened in 1933 by August Sebastiani as a movie house. Since 2003 the movie theatre has undergone several changes due to new ownership. It is operated by Roger Rhoten, who revitalized the entire building to bring it back to its former glory. He also strived to make it a place for the community. Today visitors can enjoy a variety of shows or even rent the movie theater for special events. Tickets are based on the type of performance being offered such as a movie or live theater entertainment. Rental fees are based on the number of attendees. It is best to check with the theater regarding current performances, pricing, and times.
