Garden Valley Ranch

Garden Valley Ranch is located at Pepper Road in Petaluma, Sonoma County, California and is approximately 32 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. There are two parking lots here, the first of which is for guests at weddings and other events, while the other is meant for visitors to the nursery. Garden Valley started life in the 1880s as a cattle ranch and has since become the site of some beautiful gardens.

Visitors can take a self guided tour of the gardens Wednesday to Sunday unless there are other events being held here. Opening times are 10am to 4pm between October and April, and 10am to 5pm the rest of the year. Here visitors will see a wide array of plants including over 10,000 roses, 30 varieties of Magnolia and 100 varieties of Hydrangeas.

Children are welcome here but must be accompanied by an adult, whilst pets are not permitted. The kids may be interested in the Pond Garden, which features 75' koi and a duck pond. The nursery is open at the same time as the gardens and offers visitors the chance to purchase plants. This an ideal setting for weddings and other events with tables and chairs provided along with a Victorian Belvedere, brick dance floor and a bride's dressing room.
