Cinnabar Theater

Cinnabar Theater is located at 3333 Petaluma Boulevard North in Petaluma, California which is in Sonoma County. Marvin Klebe was an opera singer that had grown tired of the opera when he began work on the theater. Jan and Marvin Klebe purchased a 1908 vintage two room school house during 1970s summer. He and his four sons turned the school into the current theater.

In 1974 the couple established Cinnabar Arts Corporation to operate the Cinnabar Theater and provide an umbrella organization to operate the various companies and projects. The facility produces Opera, Drama, Choruses and a number of programs that aid the community. The theater's mission is to train the youth in musical and dramatic performing arts while creating a connection between their everyday lives and the performing arts.

The Young Repertory Theater which was founded during 1983 is the longest running and largest youth program focusing on performing arts in Sonoma County. There are hundreds of area students and students from farther away served every year. There are also a number of youth productions done every year. Children from the age of four to eighteen are able to participate in Young Rep which offers summer camps and classes all year long. There are no children turned away regardless of the ability to pay.
