Remarks: A/C WAS DECELERATING ON LDG ROLL WHEN A DEER RAN IN FRONT OF US. I WAS PILOT FLYING AND HAD NO TIME TO REACT. DEER HIT NOSE LDG GEAR STRUT AND WAS RUN OVER BY THE TIRE. ANIMAL WAS SEVERED IN THE MIDDLE. WE FELT THE THUMP AS WE RAN OVER THE CARCASS. INSPN BY CERTIFIED A/C MECHANIC FOUND NO APPARENT DMG. I WAS INFORMED BY SOME OF THE LOCAL PILOTS BASED THERE THAT SEVERAL INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN REPTD WITH A/C COLLIDING WITH DEER. ARPT OWNER IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION, HOWEVER HE WIL NOT ALLOW ANY HUNTING NO WILL HE ERECT A SECURITY FENCE. TIME OUT OF SERVICE = 1/2 HR

I have always been interested in obtaining a pilots license. Are there any job openings at the airport where a barter system could be arranged for lessons?
