I work for a large corporation that depends on UPS to keep a satisfactory rating for us by our customers as our businesses primary function is to have supplies delivered and projects that are time sensitive delivered on time, and in the event an address zip code is wrong we expect a corporation as large as UPS prepared to handle such mishaps and help us help our customers find the fastest route to their product. Today I encountered this issue as the shipping label bore the wrong zip. My customer is willing to drive to the location the package was rerouted to, a 13 minute drive from the customers delivery location. I called to follow up with the correct zip code and spoke to a UPS representative that confirmed I could have my customer drive to location to pick her package up. I called the location number I was provided to make arrangements to pick it up and was told by the second UPS rep. that I am not able to pick it up until I am called back leaving my customer sitting by the phone and now may not be able to get her package in time.
