Health Care
For the benefit of any visitor to the Grand Strand, this chapter will give you pertinent information about regional medical services, clinics, and hospitals. Health-care services listed here should be able to handle anything from a severe sunburn to debilitating pain.
The Grand Strand has witnessed an incredible growth in health-care services and specialists. Rapid growth, ideal locations for golf and attractions, and what one physician called “a doctor-friendly environment” have brought a weighty influx of medical expertise to the area.
The less-stressful lifestyle and heralded Southern hospitality are enjoyed by many of these practitioners. The need for doctors who practice geriatrics, rheumatology, and endocrinology has soared in direct proportion with the number of senior citizens relocating to the Grand Strand.
If you are about to become a resident or have just moved into our area, the referral services can quickly put you in touch with a new family doctor or specialist.
