Description: The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon was started as a way to honor the victims and survivors of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The marathon is a Boston-qualifying, USA Track and Field sanctioned event on a certified 26.2-mile, single-loop course. Participants have the opportunity to register for the full marathon, a half marathon, a relay marathon, or a memorial walk. Participants must be 16 years of age or older on race day.There is a Kid’s Marathon (25 miles plus 1.2 miles) for all young athletes, including physically and mentally challenged athletes, age 11 and under who have run 25 miles prior to race day. All children will run the final 1.2 miles on race day and receive a special finisher’s medal. Fees range from $5 for the Kid’s Marathon to $175 for the 5-person relay.
