Description: The International Finals Rodeo (IFR) is held the third weekend in Jan each year at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City. Hosted by the International Professional Rodeo Association, it’s the culmination of the entire rodeo season, where the top 15 cowboys and cowgirls have the opportunity to compete for more than a quarter of a million dollars in prize money as well a world championship. The International Finals Rodeo attracts more than 25,000 people annually.The IFR consists of four live performances with 120 contestants competing in each. The first performance is held Fri night. The second is Sat afternoon, the third Sat night, and the final round, where the world champions are crowned, is Sun afternoon.Also part of this event is a trade show that offers merchandise for sale, such as saddles, ropes, clothes, house goods, food, boots, belts, hats, western furniture, and jewelry. There is also a booth that sells IFR merchandise, including hats, sweatshirts, beanies, T-shirts, jackets, and an array of souvenirs.Tickets cost $15, $18, and $25 depending on where you sit.
