And, Mercy Anderson was named one of the country’s top 100 hospitals for 2007 by Thomson Healthcare (formerly Solucient).Among medical and surgical services and facilities are the Cancer Center, which offers an extensive range of outpatient cancer therapies and counseling; the Family Birthing Center with birthing suites; and the Cardiovascular Training Center, offering comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation and a full range of diagnostic and emergency cardiac care services.Mercy Anderson also features the Center for Women’s Health, which is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by a team of physicians, nurses, and technologists. The hospital opened a new heart surgery wing in 2006, offering open-heart surgery options on the east side of town for the first time. In 2001 Mercy Anderson opened a sizable outpatient-care facility to increase its ability to handle outpatient, same-day surgeries.
