Description: Centrally located directly across Fifth Street from Fountain Square, the 456-room Westin is a modem, nicely decorated hotel in line with the high standards set by Westin nationwide. This hotel was opened in 1981 and renovated in 1998, improving the lobby, all rooms, and the health club. The Westin may not have the historical character of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza or the Cincinnatian, but it compensates with other amenities, such as a spacious seafood restaurant, McCormick & Schmick’s; convenient access to parking in an underground garage; an interesting collection of boutiques and specialty shops; and a commanding view of Fountain Square. There’s an indoor pool and fitness center. The Westin’s rooms are among our favorites, with comfy sofa chairs, sizable desks, and immaculate carpets.
