A full-service Marriott with 206 rooms and 7 suites, the Kingsgate is located within easy walking distance of campus and is the very first major hotel to cater to prospective University of Cincinnati students and parents. Guest rooms include HD plasma TVs, coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and two telephones with dataports and access to high-speed Internet services. An on-site fitness center features free weights, treadmill, stair machine, stationary bike, and lockers. Dine at the excellent hotel restaurant, Bistro 151, or enjoy a drink in the Tap Room. A 550-car garage is directly connected to Kingsgate, no small favor in a congested urban neighborhood with few available parking spots thanks to commuting university students and visitors at the Pill Hill hospitals. The Kingsgate is a choice for parents visiting their campus kin, of course, but it is also the closest hotel to the Cincinnati Zoo and major hospitals such as University, Shriner’s, Children’s, Good Sam, and Deaconess.
