Description: Raft Maine is an association of 13 professional white-water rafting outfitters who run trips on various rivers in Maine from October to April. Both beginner and advanced rafters can book Raft Maine trips through their toll-free number. For children, seniors, and others desiring a more serene experience, rafting on smaller rapids on the Kennebec River is an option. Those who are more daring can sign up for trips on Class IV and V rapids. All trip guides are registered white-water guides licensed by the state. Most trips start early in the morning and end mid-afternoon, so lodging at the outfitter’s base facility is recommended. A variety of lodging options, including log cabins, B&Bs, motels, and campgrounds, are available at every base camp. Office staff at Raft Maine will help you plan your trip and find appropriate accommodations. Outfitter packages run from $90 to $140 per person, depending on the date and level of rapids.
