Description: The Office for Aging & Disabled Citizens is the city government’s way to provide information on community resources to citizens who are aging and disabled, and to the community at large. It strives to educate about the needs of aging and disabled citizens while serving as a valuable resource of information and referrals to individual citizens. It also provides community groups with consultation on aging and disability issues and participates in community initiatives to sustain and improve funding and services for the aging and disabled. In addition to advocating for rights and policies that enhance the lives of seniors and disabled individuals, it also offers collaboration on housing, crime and safety, elder abuse, and issues that impact the quality of life of Louisville’s aging population.
