Description: Since the Waldorf School of Louisville opened its doors in 1993, enrollment has increased steadily. Aside from grades one through five, you’ll find a mixed-age kindergarten for children who are three and a half to six years old, and a prekindergarten program for children from the ages of two and half to three and a half. There is also a parent-child program for expectant parents and families with children from birth through three years old. An independent, private school that offers a developmentally appropriate, experiential approach to education, the Waldorf School of Louisville integrates academics and the arts for children from preschool through grade five. The aim of the Waldorf education is to enable students to fully develop their capabilities while inspiring lifelong learning. Warm, inviting classrooms encourage a sense of beauty in harmony with the natural surroundings, while wooded play yards provide safe and ample space for exploration of the natural sciences.
